Thinking and acting like an entrepreneur, always with an eye on the prize – that’s what characterises Philipp Hofmann as an auditor, and that’s what becomes clear when looking at his professional career so far. After studying Economics and obtaining a Masters of Auditing and Taxation, Mr Hofmann spent several years at an auditing and tax consultancy firm in Kassel, with a focus on medium-sized companies, finishing as an authorised signatory, after successfully completing his qualification as an auditor in parallel with his job. Looking to keep challenging himself, he gathered experience as a Manager at one of Munich’s top-ten auditing firms. While navigating the structures of large corporations, he soon realised, as someone who lives and breathes small and medium-sized business, that there was only one sensible trajectory for him – back to Northern Hesse and back to Jakob & Sozien.

Regionally rooted, never losing sight of opportunities and the big picture

Today, Philipp Hofmann leads the Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe branch as an auditor and tax consultant, furthermore serving as the main point of contact for student employees. Continuously performing at the highest level, proactively thinking like an entrepreneur, venturing outside of the box, and taking on new challenges: As a Partner in the team at Jakob & Sozien, Philipp Hofmann has once again found the breathing space he needs to put his skills and experience as an auditor to optimum use, consulting medium-sized companies. The father of two sons places great value on maintaining his network in Northern Hesse, developed over the course of many years – e.g. volunteering in the Northern Hesse chapter of the Wirtschaftsjunioren Deutschland e.V. (Association for the Young Economy), which he helmed as the regional spokesperson in 2021.
